I have been shooting RAW with my 300D for a few months. Frankly I am not convinced it is a real plus compared to high quality JPEG.

With PS, you can really do so many things with a good JPEG that I did not find my results were better with a RAW. Also a RAW is a much bigger file to handle and processing it takes longer.

I have the feeling that the setting range you get with ACR or other Raw software is not different from the settings you get with JPEG files (filters, etc.), I mean what I see on my screen is equivalent.
