> Crop to a square( I use the aspect ratio 1:1)
> Filter>Distort>Spherize ( I use 100% but you can anything)
> Take off aspect ratio if you have it turned on
> Get eliptical marquee tool ( Hold down shift and you get a circle)
> Cover the sphere, good tip you can use Select>Modify>Expand to up
> the diameter in small increments.
> Cover the whole sphere and Select > Inverse
> Edit Fill>Black
> Then as a final touch you can add the lens flare.
> Filter>Render>Lens flare
> Try all the flare options to get the best fit.
