A few other little hints:
Most of the time, you will want to leave the scissors depressed. However, if you decide not to let Qimage crop a photo after it’s in the queue, just highlight the name and click the scissors again – the uncropped photo will show on your “paper”.
If you often print a size that’s not shown in the nine Prints choices, choose one that you don’t use and right-click it. You can then put a preferred size in the boxes and that’s what will show under Prints. I mention this because I changed one to 8.26x10.76 for my Epson 870 set for Maximum in the print driver.
Check out the Custom button under Prints. Full Page will also give me the 8.26x10.76 for my 870, but takes a couple of extra clicks. Note that there are also settings here to automatically divide the page into a grid – handy for borderless printing – and will size a photo for making a poster using a set number of sheets of paper. The Page Set button has some layouts that you can try, and you can also make your own layouts and they will appear here.
In the icons at the top of the page, there’s a little book. If you click on this, it will take you to the Full Page Editor. Under Page, if you click on the A, then on your page, it will let you put floating text on your page or your photo.
There are a few hundred other things that are nice to know about the program, too…for a start, click on Help>Contents. Learn by Example and Listing of Major Functions are particularly helpful.
