Hello,
I recently started to look for a good digital camera for my daughters, 10 and 11 y.o. I searched in recent posts and couldn't find anything related; if this subject had been touched on recently, can you point me to that thread?
So, in a nutshell, the features I'm looking for: somewhat compact (maybe not too much!), sturdy construction, movies, a good flash and maybe stabilization rather than a zoom... Is there such a thing on the market right now?
I first ruled out any kid targeted camera. They are old enough that they want to take real pictures, and even if 2Mp would be more than enough, a blurry 640x480 doesn't seem to cut it.
I have been looking then at waterproof cameras, which correspond most of the time to the features listed above. But I couldn't find any which didn't have disgruntled comments from users on online vendors sites. They simply don't seem to be (reliably) waterproof, and even if I don't plan to let the kid play with it at the pool, it would be too bad to see it die on our next vacation's very first day...
So, any brand out there with a simple, sturdy & proven design? Doesn't have to be waterproof, but if it is, it should really be (!) as the kids will most likely take advantage of that at some point.
Thanks in advance.
