I'm doing an evening class in B&W film photography.

I have a film camera and a dSLR and currently have no filters for my film camera. I'm thinking of purchasing an Orange filter for my it to improve the contrast in the sky etc)

However, this filter could also be used on my dSLR (same fit).

Question (sorry for it being daft) would there be a benefit to using this orange filter on the dSLR ?? I have Photoshop where I can apply photo-filters to the image post processing.

I wouldn't apply Photoshop filters to any images coming out of the film camera.
