Hi Everyone,

I waited forever but finally got a DSLR.... I went with a D300s since I wanted to be able to learn and grow with the camera over time.

NOTE: Please let me applogize in advance for any newbie or incorrect terminology I use.

Right now I use a *50mm/1.8f* lens since it was so highly reviewed on amazon and it was cheap. (I also like the fact it wasnt HUGE looking.)

I get some great portrait shots with the 50mm and some general shots but would like something else for landscape and some macro shots.

I also want to get lens that I might be able to use if I ever upgrade to a D700 in about 3 to 5 years.

So with that in mind I was wondering are there any VR lenses that will work with FX (ie D700) cameras?

I was looking at the *Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Micro-Nikkor*.

How will that lens work for what Im looking to do( landscape-40%, General Toruisty family shots/Portrait-40%, Macro20%)?

FINALLY the the big limiter for me is not to spend more $500 +/- $100 for this lens...
