Hi,

This is my first post so hello everyone. I am in the process of looking for an entry level camera and lens for wildlife photography use. I have a general use Sony Cybershop at the moment which is great for everyday use, but completely inadequate for wildlife use. I have missed several great photo opportunuties in the past 12 months, one of a Lynx hunting and the second of a Carpathian brown bear which was only 3 to 4 hundred metres away.

I have been told that I should be looking at either a Nikon or a Canon, but my use will be purely amateur and for use on my blog rather than commercial. Cost will be a big consideration as I know a good lens will also be pricey.

Can anyone recommend a good camera/lens combination that will cover the majority of needs at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance. Paul
