I can hardly sit down without some discomfort. I bought 5 Zeiss ZF lens about six months ago and NOW they decide to release another new line with the Nikon CPU chips that should have been there from the start. Zeiss used to represent top quality AND lasting value. I guess the guys in Germany are eating Sushi these days. I contacted Zeiss in Germany and express my displeasure with their apparent lack of planning and lack of concern about the investments photographer's have made in their ZF glass.
If you are in the same boat email Zeiss at www.zeiss.de. I think that this is a real PR blunder.
