Hey DP Review folks;

I am not trying to start a holy war (even though I know full well it will devolve into one), but why on earth would you take resolution measurements using a beta version of ACR with known issues for the 7D review.

If you want to use it for the image comparison, I think that's fair, as many people use ACR for their actual image work flow, but for 'technical' measurements, why not process with DPP and see if the results are similar.. and if they are mention it in the review.. even a line or two.

DPP is free and comes with the camera, I think that alone makes it a valid tool to use when reviewing the camera. The fact that ACR is pure crap lately (for all cameras not just Canon) is another valid reason.

I'm not asking you to change your whole methodology, but it sure would be nice to at least see a comparison of the DPP vs. ACR numbers mentioned. I'm left with questions now that I can't answer because I can't trust the test tools.
