Hi,

I am sure that this topic has been discussed several times before but i have searched the forum and couldnt really find answers to my questions.

I am thinking about buying either a Panasonic LX3 or a Canon S90 and I would really appretiate to get your personal comments on the choice since I can get them about roughly the same price I am having a difficult time to choose between the two. Also if you have other suggestions I am open to suggestions!

What is important to me:
- Overall IQ (duh)
- IQ at low light (High ISO)
- Good macro / closeups
- Pocketability (not a word but I think you understand, its always nice to be able to bring your camera without it taking too much place).
- Manual control, I am very new to photography but I would like to learn.
- Dynamic Range

What is not that important to me:
- HD film
- Zoom

I am interested to hear all of your opinions on the subject LX3 vs S90 and which you prefer, and for what reason!

I like how you can assign tasks to the control wheel (or whatever it is called) on the S90.

I would really appretiate your help!
