Is this photographically related, initially it won't be, once the Olympics start there will be questions about lenses, monopods, which company has the most lenses there (hint: Canon), etc., etc.
But today the Olympic flame landed in Victoria BC to begins its 45,000 kilometer (27,900 mile) odyssey across Canada before returning to BC and ending up in Vancouver for the start of the 2010 games, 106 days from now. There will be 12,000 torch bearers, it will be the longest "torch relay" in the history of the games and at its most northern point (the equivalent would be in the high north of upper Alaska), the torch will have gone the furthest North in its history.

-- An excellent lens lasts a lifetime, an excellent DSLR, not so long.
