I suppose this has been discussed to death, but it sad to see that the latest review posted on dpreview is yet another (very expensive) dSLR review.

Of the last 15 reviews, 11 have been of dSLRs. The days seem to be over when we all waited anxiously for the lastest dpreview of the latest p&s cameras. It looks like cameras like the Sony H50 and Nikon P80 will never get reviewed, certainly they have not been in a timely manner. It is sad because the reviews on this site have always been the gold standard for buying decisions. However, it now seems like those interested in P&S cameras are going to have to find another site for timely reviews of new cameras. I think I am going to be visiting this site a lot less from now on.

This is especially sad because I think dpreviews was becoming influential enough to actually have some effect on things like the megapixel race. A good review on dpreviews was becoming important to manufacturers since most surveys say the number one factor in buying decisions is internet reviews.

I would like to know what other review sites to go to fo P&S reviews. I find Steve's Cameras and DC Resource a little light weight. Imaging Resource seems pretty good however. Are there others to pick up the ball that dpreviews has clearly dropped?
