They also say that the new software will display preview images up to four times faster than v4 with a GPU (good for me because it currently takes 9 seconds on one of my machines and 6.5 on another).

Upgrades are free if you purchased v4.5 on or after the 1st of August this year otherwise:

DxO Optics Pro Standard (any version) to DXO Optics Pro v5 Standard: $95
DxO Optics Pro Elite (any version) to DXO Optics Pro v5 Elite : $125

Availability:

DXO Optics Pro v5 (Standard and Elite) for Windows is planned to be available end of October 2007
DXO Optics Pro v5 (Standard and Elite) for Macintosh is planned to be available end of November 2007.

Apparently support for cameras like the 40D, 1Ds Mk III, D300 and D3 will begin in v5.
