When looking at new digital camera designs, I'm really taken by a lot of them; many of them are just plain pretty in addition to being very functional.

However, the most beautiful camera ever made was a film camera from 1936 called the Kodak Bantam Special. It was classic Art Deco, designed by Walter Taague.

Can any camera designers make something as stylish and hip as this? It was the epitome of precision optics, shutter design and miniaturization. It is way smaller than most contemporary P&S digital cameras. It makes today's cameras look like crass spam cans with a lens in front. There are some exceptions.

Which do you think is the most beautiful camera ever made?
