For those that have been protesting Adobe's price for Photoshop CS3, the following news release should be of interest. Reported in the Shanghai Daily (Shanghai, China newspaper) Mark Phipps, Adobes marketing director for the Asia Pacific region stated that Adobe would provide a 60% discount on PhotoShop CS3 to Chinas consumers to promote product use and reduce the piracy of Adobe products. What is interesting is that even with such a substantial discount (60%), Chinese consumers will still likely buy pirated copies of Photoshop CS3 which are readily available in China for about $1 USD…actually copies can be found on most street corners. www.ShanghaiPhotoGallery.com
